Narva Content Fest 24 has wrapped up, leaving us with incredible memories and a renewed sense of creativity and innovation. Supported by the Integration Foundation and in partnership with EKA and NART, the festival transformed Narva into a hub of artistic expression and cutting-edge discussions from April 24th to 27th. Events were held at ASTRI, NART, OBJEKT, and Narva Art School. Let’s dive into the highlights of this unforgettable event!
Day 1: April 24th – ASTRI CENTRE
The festival kicked off with the opening of a captivating photo exhibition featuring the works of Olga Asson (@z.o.v.ass) and Roman Valuiskihh (@roman_v.jpg). The evening was graced by a mesmerizing piano and violin concert performed by Julia and Suzanna Nevar (@suzanna_nevar, @yulia.nevar), setting a serene and inspiring tone for the days to come.
Day 2: April 25th – Narva Art Residence, Joala 18
The second day brought insightful presentations from EKA students, exploring the theme “What if…” through various creative lenses. Helen Kärt Käbin envisioned a future as a designer, Daria Morozova as an artist, Nadezhda Sassina as an architect, and Valeriya Ferschel as an art critic. Festival guests, including Jelizaveta Gross (@onlooker.photo), participated in engaging interviews.
Alexander Bitskov (@thebentoboy) highlighted the significance of creative industries, followed by hands-on workshops on T-shirt printing by Ira Sopina and light box making by Ksenia Khatuntseva and Anna Škuratova. The day concluded with a beautiful violin mini-concert by Julia Nevar (@yulia.nevar).
Day 3: April 26th – OBJEKT, Linda 2
The third day was a feast for digital art enthusiasts, featuring exhibitions of digital art, NFTs, and works by Vestervall artists and local masters. The Instagram short film competition added a touch of cinematic creativity, while discussions ranged from personal identity in the modern world to community building and marketing.
Key speakers included Mikhail Komaško, Ilja Dokunin (@dokudin_ilja), Vladimir Kopõlov (@kopylove), and Alexander Bitskov (thebentoboy). Masha Kanatova (@lambaliha) shared insights on creating comics, and Vladislav Šmigelski (@vladislav.smigelski) offered tips on monetizing art. Simon Gearheart (@gearheartingstudios) inspired us to overcome obstacles, and Darja Prosvirnikova (@doris.hair.daria) along with Tatyana Kalinina (tanya_koticodesign) discussed maintaining a genuine online presence. The day ended with vibrant DJ performances by MIRLOV, Villman, and Acid Bozkurt.
Day 4: April 27th – OBJEKT, Linda 2
The final day opened with a seminar by Jana Budkovskaja (@jana.bdsk) on EKA’s curriculum, followed by a Sumi-E workshop, where participants delved into Japanese ink painting techniques. Karin-Annika Luga (@start_ida) led a session on financing for youth clubs, and Ksenija Khatuntseva (@sweetiegraphics) gave a seminar on finding a niche and earning from it.
The day featured discussions on creating impactful video clips by Veniamin Yuhimenko (@nickskay_forever) and Vladislav Šmigelski (@vladislav.smigelski), and urban architecture as community spaces by Sasha Miljakina (@sashami_art). Olga Volkova (@volkool) explored content creation in the AI age, and Veniamin Yuhimenko returned to discuss digital art. The festival concluded with the results of the Instagram short video contest, awards, and a popular music cover concert by Viktoria Anikina (@spirituos0).
